Waternet, the Dutch water network, have come up with a unique solution to concerns over the depletion of natural fertilising substances (nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus). They plan to use recycled urine, rich in all the above, as a sustainable fertiliser for green roofs on Dutch housing… While some at first thought this was a prank, a demonstrataion pilot has begun!
