Last week I was in Amsterdam where I did some Christmas shopping at the Dutch Design Year collection. Much of the collection was designed by students at ‘Design Academy Eindhoven‘ Check out the online shop for anything from lights, to tables, to 3D printed buttons.

WE EXIST TO PROVIDE PAID JOBS AND TRAINING TO THE HOMELESS
-Rough sleeping increased 41% in London between 2011-12. Rough sleepers have a life expectancy of 47 years.

WE EXIST TO REDUCE LANDFILL WASTE
-45% of current waste is reusable

WE EXIST TO PRODUCE BEAUTIFUL, UNIQUE FURNITURE –
-Each piece is an original design, each student is  partnered with a “buddy”, a professional furniture maker who helps to turn designs into reality.
